Location

The Andaz offered a unique experience in downtown Savannah. We didn't do much exploring in the area as we only stopped there for an overnight stay on our way down to Florida, but the entire Andaz staff, from the front desk managers to the servers at the on-site restaurant, made our visit memorable.

Arrival

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Patrick, who checked us in at the front desk and offered complimentary glasses of sangria. We received a (much appreciated!) room upgrade, as well as bottles of water and a box of chocolate, which were delivered to our room.

Elite Benefits

We used Mastercard's Luxury Hotel Program to book us Hyatt Prive for this stay, which gave us some benefits like, $100 credit to be used at the on-site restaurant, which was really good!

Also, a $70 breakfast credit which was also to be used at the on-site restaurant.

We got a room upgrade to a higher floor with a balcony overlooking the pool terrace!

Complimentary chocolates delivered to our room after check-in as well!

Room

Very clean, not too too big, but perfect nonetheless. Balcony overlook to the pool was very cool. There were some missing chips and water in the room, but was delivered upon arrival from an employee to make sure our complimentary fridge was fully stocked!

Property

Downstairs garage was not great, not a great location, hard to find at first. (Half a block away from the hotel)

The hotel itself saved the overnight stay 100% however, their staff, service, and the modern up-scale minimlist feel of the hotel made us feel very welcome!

Food

Oh mannn the on-site dinner + breakfast with our credits from Hyatt Prive made it so much more enjoyable. The waitress even saw and caught that we made a reservation prior to their 22 Square restaurant, and caught our preferred preferences for the food without me even mentioning. Also our waiter for breakfast was hilarous and made us feel at home.

Get the chicken and waffles, you won't be disapointed!!

Also the burger + steak frites for dinner were amazing!

Other Tips

So long as you get to the downstairs parking garage, which is, if your facing the "ANDAZ" sign on the front of the hotel, directly behind you about a half block away, you'll be fine during the stay. You walk up 1-2 flights to the street level, then the hotel is right there.

They have valet, but it was maybe $30+ per day I believe, whereas the parking garage was more so $10-$15 per day.

Just know the area doesnt have the greatest feel, not 100% safe but close to it, so just know, if you make it past the garage and to the hotel, you're golden!

Summary

Garage entrance for hotel can be improved with some clear signage, but otherwise this hotel is a great stopping point or a destination if wanting to be near more of the less explored parts of Savannah Georgia, and the hotel really shines bright in that area.
